PENTAGON’S NEW SOBERING REPORT ABOUT CHINA’S RAPIDLY ESCALATING MILITARY THREAT

China will double its stockpile of nuclear warheads in the next decade and many of those warheads will be capable of reaching North America.

The Pentagon’s new “China Military Power” report to Congress indicates Beijing intends to match or surpass America militarily by 2049 to become the dominant power in the Asia-Pacific region if not the entire world.

China has radically transformed its military over the past decade mirroring American technical advances and arguably going beyond especially in areas such as artificial intelligence.

The Pentagon may well redistribute its forces in Asia and form a new NATO-like alliance, according to the Secretary of Defense.

Most likely the near term spark leading to war with China would be the massing of Chinese forces near Taiwan quickly followed by cyber-attacks, satellite shut downs and swarming of vessels across the South China Sea.

China currently has ground-based missiles that out-range U.S. missiles in theater and Beijing has a 350 ship navy which includes 130 major surface combatants, much larger than the U.S. Navy (296 deployable ships).

Meanwhile, Russia, China’s chief ally, is provoking air and ground tensions worldwide. This isn’t just a coincidence as the U.S. is two months from a contentious presidential election.
